As adults, we sometimes forget how tough it is to be a kid. Always being told what, when, and how to do things. The pursuit of autonomy can be a time of great frustration, while the pressures of school, social life, and planning for the future can sometimes feel insurmountable.

My adolescent experience was no different. My way of coping was to set a rigid trajectory that left no room for self-exploration. This led me down the path to a career I did not enjoy. It was throughout the course of my own therapy that I learned the flexibility of the mind to acknowledge what wasn’t working and to give myself permission to change.

After years of searching, I have finally found my calling as a Mental Health Counselor working with adolescents and young adults. As a Person-Centered Therapist, I believe that everyone has the innate drive to reach their full potential. I’m here to help navigate past the road blocks. I am easy-going and fundamentally non-judgmental, and I believe strongly in the healing power of humor. Above all, my goal is to create a safe space that fosters growth. I will challenge your thinking patterns while helping build the confidence to feel empowered by your choices.

What makes me Human

Hobbies
My first love is traveling and exploring places I’ve never been. I went to culinary school for baking and pastry and can make a pretty mean dessert! When I’m not whipping up sugary delights, I love listening to audio books, playing with my two very energetic herding dogs, and obsessing over every detail in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Quirks
My laugh that’s loud enough to be heard down the street, my useless ability to distinguish between diet sodas in a blind taste test, and my irrational fear of wacky waving inflatable tube men.

Fun Fact
My family and I have a dinosaur balloon named “Duke” that we periodically refill with helium so he can continue to float happily around our house.
